Prosthetic Effect of Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Combined with Silvadene Cream on the Healing of Chronic and Refractory Wound
Objective : To explore and discuss the therapeutic effect of chronic and refractory wound by basic fibroblast growth factor combined with silvadene cream.
Methods : Eighty cases with chronic and refractory wound were selected from Lishui People's Hospital between July 2008 and March 2013. These patients were randomly divided into 4 groups: group A receiving regular therapy; group B receiving basic fibroblast growth factor; group C receiving silvadene cream; group D receiving basic fibroblast growth factor combined with silvadene cream, 20 patients in each group. The wound healing period and the wound healing rates in the 4 groups were recorded.
Results : As compared with group A, B, and C, the wound healing period in group D was significantly decreased (P<0.05); the wound healing rate in day 7, 11, 14, l7 and 21 was obviously increased (P<0.05).
Conclusion : Basic fibroblast growth factor combined with silvadene cream can promote the healing of chronic and refractory wound.
Comparative Study of BFGF and Sugar Care in Treating Pressure Ulcers
Objective : To compare and study the differences and effects of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and sugar care for the restoration of wound's surface of patients with pressure ulcers.
Methods : A total of 38 patients with pressure ulcers in our hospital from July 2013 to January 2014 were randomly divided into two groups. The wound's surface of the two groups was treated by bFGF and sugar respectively on the basis of an active primary care and complete debridement. The effect initiating time and therapeutic effect after 14 days of the two groups were compared.
Results : There were statistically differences for effective initiating time, but no obviously statistically differences for the treatment effect after 14 days between the two groups.
Conclusion : Sugar and bFGF both have positive effects and therapeutic effects on the wound healing of pressure ulcers based on the complete debridement, but bFGF took effect rapidly.
