Study of the Clinical Effect of Combined Therapy on Vitiligo

Objective : To study the effect of combined therapy of self -epidermal transplantation, narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) on the treatment of vitiligo.

Methods : Ninety-three cases of vitiligo patients were randomly divided into four groups: group A with 24 cases of patients had combined therapy of self-epidermal transplantation, NB-UVB phototherapy and bFGF, there were 121 skin grafts in group A. Group B with 22 cases of patients had combined therapy of self-epidermal transplantation and NB-UVB phototherapy, there were 118 skin grafts in group B. Group C with 25 cases of patients had combined therapy of selfepidermal transplantation and bFGF, there were 132 skin grafts in group C. Group D with 22 cases of patients had self -epidermal transplantation, there were 120 skin grafts in group D.

Results : With follow-up of 3 months, there were statistically significant differences on the cure rate and effective rate between the four groups. Both the cure rate and effective rate of patients in group A were significantly higher than the other three groups (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in these between patients in group B and group C (P>0.05). Patients in group D had the lowest cure rate and effective rate than the other three groups (P<0.05).

Conclusion : Combined with therapy of self-epidermal transplantation, narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) had collaborative effect on vitiligo. The combined therapy can improve the cure rate and shorten the course of treatment.

Observation on the Curative Effect of Treating Facial Hormone-Dependent Dermatitis

Objective : To explore the clinical efficacy of tacrolimus ointment combined with basic fibroblast growth factor in the treatment of facial hormone-dependent dermatitis.

Methods : 90 selected patients were randomly divided into two groups. 45 patients in the treatment group were given in external treatment of tacrolimus ointment combined with basic fibroblast growth factor. Forty-eight patients in the control group were treated with tacrolimus ointment only for external treatment, and the course of treatment was 4 weeks. The curative effect was observed.

Results : The total effective rate of the treatment group was 88.89%, and the total effective rate of the control group was 66.67%. The difference in curative effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was 4.44% (2/45), and the incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 26.67% (12/45).

Conclusion : Tacrolimus ointment combined with basic fibroblast growth factor has a good clinical effect in the treatment of facial hormone-dependent dermatitis, with few adverse reactions.
