Excellent Wound Repair, Short Healing Time

Analgesic and Hemostatic Effect of BFGF after Ultrasonic Scaling

Objective : To explore the analgesic and hemostatic effect of bFGF after ultrasonic scaling.

Methods : Fourty eight cases of chronic marginal gingivitis by ultrasonic scaling treatment were randomly divided into the experimental group (Group A, 24 cases) and control group (Group B, 24 cases). The patients aged from 18 to 52 years. The use of bFGF in Group A,bFGF three times a day for seven days. while in Group B,bFGF method was not used. The analgesic and hemostatic effects were observed.

Results : The Analgesic and hemostatic effects of Group A were significantly better than those of group B (P<0.05).

Conclusion : Local appliction of bFGF during ultrasonic scaling treatment was safe for analgesis and hemostasis. It is worthy of clinical application because it can relieve patient's suffering.

Application of Guided Tissue Regeneration Membrane and Clinical Study on the Treatment of Periodontal Bone Defects such as Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Biological Materials of Artifi Cial Bone

Objective : Investigate guided tissue regeneration membrane and artificial bones, such as basic fibroblast growth factor biological material used in the treatment of periodontal bone defects with Methods and results.

Methods : 40 patients with periodontal bone defect in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 20 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine periodontal flap turnover and the treatment group was treated with biomaterials.

Results : The CT values of bone defect area in the treatment group were (158.3±9.4) mg/cm, and (166.8±5.4)mg/cm at 9 months and 12 months after treatment, which were significantly better than those in the control group at the same period (P<0.05). The bleeding indexes of treatment group before treatment, 3 months after operation and 6 months after operation were 2.92±0.21, 1.61±0.19 and 0.74±0.22, respectively, and the bleeding indexes of 3 months and 6 months after operation were significantly better than those of control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion : Guided tissue regeneration membrane, artificial bone, basic fibroblast growth factor and other biological materials are helpful to periodontal bone tissue, and the clinical effect is remarkable.

The Clinical Evaluation on BFGF for The Treatment of Pediatric Stomatitis

Objective : To investigate the clinical effect of bFGF on stomatitis caused by the common reasons in pediatrics.

Methods : 432 patients with stomatitis were randomly divided into 2 groups. bFGF saline solution was administered locally to the bFGF group, and the control group was given normal saline. The pain, congestion and diameter of lesion were examined after treatment.

Results : In bFGF group, pain was lessened and the healing time was shortened significantly. The total effective rate was 99.1% in bFGF group and 54.4% in control group. No side effect was seen during short-term follow-up.

Conclusion : bFGF can cure oral mucitis effectively.

The Observation of Clinical Effect of BFGF on Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer

Objective : To observe treated effect of bFGF (basic fibroblast growth factor) on recurrent aphthous ucler.

Methods : 60 patiens with minor recurrent aphthous ulcer were divided into two groups randomly. The treated group including 30 patients was treated with bFGF spray, which was sprayed on the ulcer surface. The control group including 30 patiens was treated with 0.02% chlorhexodine solution, which was sprayed on the ulcer surface.

Results : The total effective rate of the two groups was respectively 83.00% and 46.67%. There was clear difference between the two groups (P<0.05).

Conclusion : It has conspicuous curative effect of bFGF in treateatment of the minor recurrent aphthous ulcer.

The Preventive Effect of Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor on the Serum IL-6 Level and Density of Alveolar Bone of Patients Underwent Mandibular Impacted Teeth Extraction

Objective : To investigate the preventive effect of basic fibroblast growth factor on the serum IL-6 level and density of alveolar bone of patients underwent mandibular impacted teeth extraction.

Methods : 104 cases of patients with mandibular impacted tooth extraction were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 52 cases in each group. All patients underwent mandibular impacted tooth operation. Patients in the control group were treated with normal saline injection after operation, while patients in the experimental group were treated with basic fibroblast growth factor injection after operation. Then the serum levels of interleukin 6 (IL-6) and alveolar bone density, the clinical effective rate and the adverse reactions in the two groups were observed and compared.

Results : Compared with situation before treatment, the serum levels of bone mineral density in the two groups increased, while the serum levels of IL-6 decreased after the treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the levels of bone mineral density in the experimental group were higher, and the serum levels of IL-6 were lower after the treatment (P<0.05); Compared with the control group, the clinical effective rate in the experimental group was higher (P<0.05); There was no obvious adverse reactions after the treatment in the two groups (P>0.05).

Conclusion : Basic fibroblast growth factor could significantly promote the recovery of patients after mandibular impacted tooth extraction and effectively prevent the infections.
